BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA is an entertainment facility located right next to the Mizuho PayPay Dome. In the third and the last installment, we are introducing Virtual Experience Area - Crédit Agricole, located on the sixth floor of the building. Here, when you purchase a 30-minute ticket or a two-hour ticket, you can enjoy 17 different virtual activities as many times as you want within the time frame! Once again, Fa-So-La AKIHABARA staff member Kazu tried out the activities for himself. Hope you enjoy our report!
This area is themed on the fusion of the near future and Japanese culture.
First, Kazu tried YOKERO! It is a new type of game in which you must keep dodging the light patterns that are projected onto the 9 x 5-meter floor!
Kazu was dodging them easily saying, “This is a breeze!” right after the game started, but the light sped up and the patterns became more complicated in a pretty short time.
The patterns increased and Kazu got cornered.
He was trying his best to dodge by jumping and doing some acrobatic moves, but he got caught because he couldn’t notice the light coming from behind. YOKERO is a single-person game, but the spectators can join in the fun by telling the player where the patterns are.
Now that he is warmed up, Kazu decided to try Escape Action next. In this game, you need to strike the same pose as the shape of the hole in a wall that comes toward you so that you can pass through them without touching the wall.
This one also starts out easy with simple poses, but the difficulty gradually increases, making you squat, jump, and hold your entire body in challenging positions.
He was trying his best to strike complicated poses, but. . .
he failed when his knee slightly touched the wall.
Probably because he didn’t have much stamina left after playing YOKERO, he couldn’t keep up with the intensity of the game. Sadly, he was ranked in the 123809th place. . . Up to two people can play Escape Action together, so it would also be fun for couples or family to enjoy it together!
Moreover, the machine takes pictures of you playing, and you can download the pictures for free by scanning the QR code displayed after the game.
We cracked up seeing the picture of Kazu trying so hard to strike a pose.
For his final activity, Kazu tried PHOTON BIKE, a ride popular for its stylish appearance! Set in the near future, the aim of this motorcycle racing game is to finish as fast as possible while avoiding the traps set up on the track. The biggest appeal of this ride is its realistic feel.
Not only does the motorcycle move in sync with the dynamic 360-degree image, but also winds blow from in front of you, making you feel as if you are physically in an actual race! Get on the futuristic and photogenic motorcycle and enjoy the race like a pro!
There are many other activities that we would like to introduce, but we would like to stop here before it gets too lengthy! Besides the activities Kazu tried, this area has so many other virtual activities that you can casually enjoy using your entire body. Plus, it’s inside the building, so you don’t have to worry about the weather.
