We tried “Zekkei 3 Kyodai by SMBC Nikko Securities” (official English name is Superb Attraction SMBC Nikko Securities), a new type of attraction that lets you enjoy amazing views with a bit of a thrill! Would you dare to try?
BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA is an entertainment facility located right next to Mizuho PayPay Dome in Fukuoka. The seven-story building houses rides that let you enjoy amazing views, as well as a space where you can play the latest virtual reality games. In this article, we would like to introduce a variety of attractions it offers, as our Fa-So-La AKIHABARA staff member Kazu visited there to experience them in person!
A set of attractions that you should definitely try at BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA is Zekkei 3 Kyodai by SMBC Nikko Securities. It is a collective name for three rides: “TSURI-ZO,” a single-rail roller coaster, “SUBE-ZO,” a tube slide, and “NOBO-ZO,” a wall climbing and bouldering facility. As its name “Zekkei” (meaning “superb view”) suggests, these rides let you enjoy amazing views. This time, Kazu tried TSURI-ZO and SUBE-ZO despite being not really a big fan of thrill rides!
The first one is TSURI-ZO, which is a single-person suspended roller coaster and is Japan’s first single-rail roller coaster set up on the rooftop of a building.

Its starting point is 10 meters further up from the rooftop, reaching a height of about 60 meters above ground, which is the highest point in E・ZO! The height alone makes you petrified. Kazu is now all buckled up and ready to go!

Kazu looking nervous.
As soon as you take off, you’ll be welcomed by an extraordinary panoramic view of Fukuoka that gives you a sense of liberation. The refreshing feeling while enjoying both the wind and the amazing view is one of the reasons why you should try this ride. However, just as you thought you were enjoying the extraordinary view, the ride will take you through about 300 meters of an exhilarating high-speed run, swinging you in all directions! It gets pretty thrilling especially at the curves because you will be swung harder than you would expect.

After getting off TSURI-ZO, you can purchase a photo of yourself riding it, so don’t forget to get one as a record of the memorable experience.

Got a dynamic photo of himself with a smile and a breathtaking view!
Next, Kazu tried SUBE-ZO, a 100-meter-long tube slide in which you slide down all at once from 40 meters above ground! This is also the first one in Japan as a tube slide attached to a building.

Kazu’s heart is still beating fast from riding TSURI-ZO, but he is determined to go!
The best viewing point of SUBE-ZO comes right after you start sliding down. The top half of the tube is transparent, so you can enjoy the beautiful landscape around PayPay Dome. Enjoy the view IF you are relaxed enough to enjoy it!
Once you pass the first straight zone, you will go into the fun spiral zone with lights and sounds. Sliding down in the meandering tube with speed continuing to increase, it is so exhilarating that it brought a smile on even Kazu’s face, who said he was not a big fan of thrill rides.
TSURI-ZO and NOBO-ZO are outdoor rides and may be closed due to reasons such as weather, so it is recommended to check their operation status on the official website in advance.
