New Landmark of Tokyo bay area, "TOYOSU SENKYAKU BANRAI" Opens in February, 2024
Little Edo-style shopping, dining, baths, and hotel establishment making its debut in Toyosu, where there is a new market that is the replacement for Tsukiji
The Toyosu Market has been bustling with tourists ever since the market was relocated from Tsukiji to Toyosu in 2018. On February 1, 2024, a new establishment named “Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai” will make its debut in Toyosu’s popular outer market area. In Japanese, “senkyaku banrai” refers to a situation in which there is always a very high traffic of customers.

Situated adjacent to the Toyosu Market, Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai consists of “Toyosu Jogai Edomae Ichiba” and “Tokyo Toyosu Manyo Club.”
Toyosu Jogai Edomae Ichiba has been constructed with traditional Japanese building materials, such as granite as well as smoked roof tiles from Awaji Island. You can enjoy the quaint atmosphere of the Edo period just by being there.
Inheriting the tradition of the Tsukiji Market, which had long existed as an Edomae-style market, the new establishment offers dining and shopping experiences, making use of fresh ingredients and other products unique to Toyosu.
Unlike the former market, here you can enjoy food hopping and shopping while also immersing yourself in an atmosphere that makes you feel like you have travelled back in time to the town of old Edo.
You should definitely visit shops that carry ingredients and delicacies, as well as famous restaurants that serve eels, sushi, tempura, and/or soba noodles, which are called the “major four specialty foods of Edo.”
A variety of shops are lined up along the path named “Toyosu Menuki Odori”
At Tokyo Toyosu Manyo Club, they use dedicated trailer trucks to transport the hot spring water every day from Hakone and Yugawara, which are some of the famous hot spring areas in Japan, bringing the concept of “a hot spring town in central Tokyo” into reality in the land of Toyosu. The club features facilities such as open-air baths, saunas, bedrock baths, and massages, so you can get a good rest during your trip. You can also stay at the hotel, so it would also be a good idea to use it as a base for your sightseeing.

The rooftop features an observation garden with a foot bath, so you can enjoy the panoramic view of the waterfront area of Toyosu.
You might need more than one day to fully experience the charms of Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai.
