Enjoy creative 3D latte art in Harajuku. Try Latte Pocket, a popular coffee shop which draws queues of visitors!

3D latte art popping out of coffee cups is too cute! Introducing Harajuku's charming "Latte Pocket" coffee shop.

Latte artist Runa Kato is the manager of Latte Pocket. She's a specialist in latte art who's created more than 100,000 cups to date. She’s also known as the pioneer of "touchable latte art," which overturns conventional latte art concepts. Kato learned her craft at CAFE REISSUE, the originator of 3D latte art, and opened Latte Pocket in December 2023, positioning it as a sister store.

Latte Pocket’s 3D latte art combines advanced latte art techniques with creativity. Conventional latte art involves drawing hearts or leaves with milk foam on top of espresso, but 3D latte art turns this concept on its head. Like putting together building blocks or a puzzle, foam is added on top of the espresso, and decorated with chocolate sauce.

And what's more, you can request custom 3D latte art designs! Tell them your favorite animal or cartoon character, and they will magically recreate it as one-of-a-kind 3D latte art.

Latte Pocket is a takeout-only store. 3D latte art is available in three flavors: cappuccino, vanilla latte, and caramel latte. There is a photo spot in the store you can use to take pictures of your freshly-made 3D latte art there and then.

Latte Pocket is a standing coffee store.

A 7-minute walk from either Harajuku or Meiji-jingumae stations, the store is close to Omotesando and Takeshita-dori, making it a convenient port of call in between shopping and sightseeing. Offering delights for the eyes as well as the tastebuds, take the time to enjoy a cup of coffee at Latte Pocket during your trip to Tokyo.
