Fa-So-La TAX FREE AKIHABARA Annex, a tax-free store in Narita Airport Terminal 1, reopened on September 30, 2026 after a renovation. Along with the expanded sales floor, the interior and layout have been completely redesigned. The transformed space lets you enjoy not just shopping, but also simply exploring the store itself.

This fall, Fa-So-La TAX FREE AKIHABARA Annex debuts a fresh new look. Located in Narita Airport Terminal 1, the store has long offered products unique to Japan. Through this renovation, the newly transformed space will make your pre-flight time even more enjoyable and memorable.

Through this renovation, the sales floor has been expanded, alongside a complete redesign of the layout and interior. The new space not only makes it easier to find what you are looking for, but is also fun just to look around to discover something new.

The most eye-catching feature of the store is the huge Daruma Nebuta installations. Combining daruma (a traditional Japanese motif) with Aomori's famous Nebuta lanterns, these unique and impressive installations welcome visitors. Their individually unique expressions and vivid colors add an accent to the space, creating a powerful presence that makes you want to take a closer look. Blending the charm of traditional culture with a vibrant, playful touch, they are sure to become a new must-visit photo spot for capturing a memory of your trip.

Another new feature is a display fixture inspired by a claw machine game. The arcade-inspired atmosphere makes the entire shopping experience enjoyable and exciting, from choosing products to simply browsing the store.

The store carries a wide variety of items, including watches, traditional crafts, toys, fashion items, electronics, and travel essentials. Offering classic items perfect for travel memories and souvenirs, alongside popular products and trending products, the store strives to meet the diverse needs of both domestic and international travelers. With a wide selection of items available, you can easily find items for yourself as well as for gifts for your loved ones.

Another key feature is the wide array of items, spanning different genres from traditional Japanese crafts to toys and electronics. The store caters to each visitor's unique travel style, satisfying needs such as “wanting to bring home something distinctively Japanese” or “finding something interesting to wrap up the trip.”

Fa-So-La AKIHABARA aims to be more than just a tax-free store where you only purchase souvenirs. Its goal is to provide a place where customers can discover new products, experience Japan’s unique motifs and playful spirit, and spend a memorable moment of their trip.
