Hotel Gracery Shinjuku—a hotel where you can see a realistic Godzilla

In Shinjuku, Tokyo, there is a place every Godzilla fan dreams of visiting. Why not stay in a room filled with tokusatsu (or “special effects”) features and immerse yourself in the world of Godzilla?
Hotel Gracery Shinjuku is the hotel that has the mind-blowing Godzilla Room. The gigantic Godzilla head sticking out from the terrace on the 8th floor is very authentic because it was made to be about the same height as the first Godzilla. Moreover, the hotel has several different kinds of special rooms, in which the world of the Godzilla series has been faithfully recreated to captivate the hearts of Godzilla fans.

The Godzilla head has become sort of a landmark of the town.
The 30th floor, the top floor, is called the “Godzilla Floor.” From the moment you step out of the elevator, everything you see is just Godzilla.
The room that Godzilla fans yearn for the most is the Godzilla Room. At this Godzilla-themed room, you will be welcomed by a realistic Godzilla suit, which looks like it came straight out of the movie. The room also lets you immerse yourself in the world of Godzilla with other features such as a massive Godzilla hand standing menacingly above the beds.

In the one-and-only Godzilla Room, everything is Godzilla-themed, down to the smallest details.
To enjoy the view of the Godzilla head as close as possible, book one of the six Godzilla View Rooms. You can see the Godzilla head just outside the windows, so you can really feel its towering presence. Also, each room has a large tapestry on the wall, depicting a famous battle scene of Godzilla and another kaiju, and each tapestry features a different kaiju, so maybe you should come back several times to see them all.

The view from the Godzilla View Rooms makes you feel like you are making eye contact with Godzilla. *The view varies by room.
In July 2025, the hotel is opening its Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah Room in celebration of the hotel’s 10th anniversary. It is going to be themed on the tokusatsu studio of Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991), allowing guests to step into the behind-the-scenes of the film’s production.
When you stay at one of these special rooms, you can get exclusive complimentary gifts.
