Have a magical time at Fantasy Springs—a new port in Tokyo DisneySea!
A new port is opening at Tokyo DisneySea, which is the only Disney park in the world that is themed on the ocean. Can’t wait to see what’s inside!
Tokyo DisneySea is opening its eighth themed port called Fantasy Springs on June 6, 2024. Not only does the new port include areas themed on Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan, but it also has a wide variety of features such as rides, restaurants, and hotels.
An immersive environment that makes you feel as if you are right there within the world of Disney movies.
The concept of Fantasy Springs is “magical springs that lead to a world of Disney fantasy.” At the magical springs called Fantasy Springs Entry Way located at the entrance of the port, you’ll find rocks carved in the shapes of the characters, such as Peter Pan, Anna, Elsa, and Rapunzel, when you look carefully. Look for them like a treasure hunt!
There are also rocks of other characters. The anticipation just keeps getting bigger even though we are still at the entrance.
The first area is the Frozen Kingdom themed on Frozen and it is set in the post-movie happy kingdom of Arendelle. At one of the attractions called Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, you can experience the story of Anna and Elsa while riding on a boat and listening to the songs from the movie, so a fantastic time is guaranteed if you are a Frozen fan. Moreover, at the restaurant called Royal Banquet of Arendelle, you can enjoy meals, feeling like you have been invited to a banquet at the castle. You should also stop by at Oaken’s OK Food, which is run by Oaken, who owns a mountain hut equipped with a sauna in the movie.
The buildings there have been adorned with rosemaling, which is a Norwegian style of decorative folk art, as well as with geometric ice patterns.
The next area is Rapunzel’s Forest, themed on Tangled. It has the first-ever Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival ride, which no other Disney parks have. It is a very romantic ride in which you can enjoy the story of Rapunzel while riding on a boat. Another must-go place is a restaurant called Snuggly Duckling that is themed on the pub from the movie. Here you can enjoy a dessert called Sweet Ever After based on Rapunzel’s words, “We’re living happily ever after,” and it is served in a container which resembles the frying pan that Rapunzel used in the movie to protect herself.
Lights are turned on at night, giving the area a different feel from that of the daytime.
The last one is Peter Pan’s Neverland which is themed on Peter Pan. This area features a wide variety of attractions. At Peter Pan’s Neverland Adventure, you can dive into a grand adventure in which you team up with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell as a member of the Lost Kids and fight Captain Hook and pirates. Also, Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies makes you feel like you have become one of the fairies, as you drive a buggy made by Tinker Bell, crisscrossing the fairy valley.
Moreover, the area has a restaurant called Lookout Cookout, and there will also be wagons that sell roast beef-flavored popcorn, which will become available for the first time at Tokyo Disney Resort®.
A special opening event, Dreaming of Fantasy Springs, is being held from April 9 to June 30, so definitely go check it out if your schedule permits!
